The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is currently hiring for the position of Monitor for North Dining Hall. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.

The Monitor welcomes guests and assists in supporting the mission and goals of a "Best in Class" dining program. As a service operations member of a dynamic dining hall operation, this position will support the daily operations of the dining hall. This "front-of-house" position is critical to ensuring all diners feel welcome by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere and being responsive to the needs of our guests.

Essential duties include:
- Welcome guests, verify student eligibility for meal service while monitoring overcrowding
- Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering or guests from exiting with excessive food
- Help maintain cleanliness of the dining hall
- Restock napkins, silverware and other items for service; keep lobbies neat and clean
- Maintain and stock Grab-N-Go area, prepare necessary paperwork, and wrap product as necessary
- Use computer for meal charges, identification, and monitoring meal count

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years experience
- Requires walking and standing
- Must have functional computer skills to learn point-of-sale and campus software system
