Job Description
Are you looking to work in a fun, fast-paced environment with flexible schedules and shifts? The University of Notre Dame University Operations, Events, and Safety ( UOES ) division is currently hiring for multiple positions of Server and Bartender within Morris Inn Banquets . The UOES division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Banquet Server
This position assists with set-up and tear down of banquet events. The Banquet Server will serve food, pour beverages and handle requests of guest in accordance with the Morris Inn methods and service standards. Prepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server. Follow written specifications provided by events department. Participate in equipment removal following meal service. Professionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests in accordance with the Morris Inn methods and service standard. Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food. Assist with coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center. Keep work area and equipment clean and in good working condition.
Bartender
This position will serve guests at Banquet events within the Morris Inn. The Morris Inn is a AAA 4 Diamond Hotel and sits at the heart of Notre Dame’s storied campus. It continues to be the “living room” of the University of Notre Dame where guests will find the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy a business lunch, family gathering, special occasion or a casual meal. Annual high profile events include but not limited to: Board of Trustees, Advisory Councils, University Alumni Community conferences and events including meetings, weddings, anniversary parties, funerals and social events. Banquet bartenders must be able to provide a professional setup, service and breakdown of banquet bars. Participate in wine service for banquet events. Professionally handle all guest requests, meeting and exceeding highest levels of customer expectations and service.
