The Research Scientist will collaborate with the Research Engineer to advance the research objectives taking place in the Rhoads Research Group ’s laboratory.

The Research Scientist will collaborate with the Research Engineer to advance the research objectives taking place in the Rhoads Research Group ’s laboratory.
Job Duties Include
- Scientific/Technical Consultation: Design, conduct and supervise all experiments including contributing to new research performed by Dr. Rhoads.
- Data processing and reporting: Manage program data, create and organize structure and systems to support data collection and communication of that data to colleagues and sponsors.
- Assist with proposal preparation mentorship of graduate students, postdoctoral associates and staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- An ideal candidate will have at a minimum, a PhD in mechanical engineering or a related field, and have 3-5 years of academic and/or corporate research experience.
- An MS with 5 years of relevant experience would be considered.
- Sub-disciplinary experience in dynamics, vibration, structural mechanics, and additive manufacturing and electromechanical systems is required.
