Job Description
Be a part of our festive Reunion weekend when we welcome back thousands of our alumni and guests to Notre Dame’s campus! You will be successful in this role if you are a safe driver and someone who genuinely enjoys helping and chatting with people.
Key Duties Include
To prepare you, we will conduct an orientation/general training session. Additionally, we will provide you with campus maps and designated driving routes and stops. We will train you on our walkie-talkie handheld radios that will be used as the primary method of communication for driver dispatch. We will also give you access to the Reunion event mobile app and other campus and event information so you are very familiar with Reunion and can assist our guests. This information will include the Reunion schedule (times and locations of main events) and answers to common guest questions. This position is not tip-eligible.
Location: Notre Dame’s campus and parking lots, and nearby hotels.
Schedule: This is a temporary position with work shifts from May 28 – June 1, 2025. Individuals must be available to work throughout the entire 4-day event in order to be considered. Individuals must also be flexible and able to work any shift assigned throughout the event.
Orientation: Wednesday, May 28: The University will provide a paid, detailed orientation session. In this session you will be given Reunion staff shirts and name badges along with dress code information.
If you do not show up for orientation and/or your scheduled shift, you will not be eligible for future Reunion work.
Work shifts will be assigned to cover the following hours of operation:
Thursday, May 29: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. (will be assigned to a.m. or p.m. shift)
Friday, May 30: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. (will be assigned to a.m. or p.m. shift)
Saturday, May 31: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. (will be assigned to a.m. or p.m. shift)
Sunday, June 1: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

- Operating a minivan, sedan, or golf cart as required
- Providing scheduled, routed, and on-demand shuttle services as directed
- Receiving instructions from the Transportation Dispatcher via walkie talkie regarding specific pick-up locations for guests
- Assisting guests as they board/exit vehicles and with their luggage, and engaging in friendly conversations

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have an excellent driving record and a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years.
- Must successfully complete Notre Dame’s defensive driving course and golf cart certification prior to orientation.
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to delighting Reunion guests. As a premier customer service provider, the ideal candidate must be able to easily and clearly communicate with campus guests — engaging in conversation, responding to questions, and providing directions in a friendly manner. Hospitality is a must!
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and move luggage for guests using shuttle services and assist guests boarding and exiting vehicles.
- Must be very familiar with Notre Dame’s campus and surrounding areas so that when dispatched by the coordinators you can quickly and efficiently get to a specific pick-up point.
- Must be comfortable with radios and be familiar with the Reunion mobile app.
- Must maintain a professional image and neat appearance in accordance with Reunion guidelines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
