The University of Notre Dame Sports Nutrition team is seeking a Seasonal Football Nutrition Fellow to support the Notre Dame Football program. Under the guidance of the Director of Sports Nutrition – Football, the fellow will gain hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, with a focus on sports nutrition operations, performance fueling, and education.
This seasonal, hourly-paid position averages 32–38 hours per week and requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role begins June 2, 2025, and runs through the end of the 2025 football season. Please note: benefits are not included.

Operations & Logistics
- Oversight of PM football operations including practices and post-practice meals
- Ordering team meals; including menu planning, scheduling, and billing coordination
- Oversight of inventory management and ordering
- Supporting practice and lift sessions with smoothie prep, snack carts, and recovery station setup
- Create engaging nutrition education content (visuals, handouts, and digital materials)
- Managing Tasty Tuesday snack creations to promote nutrient-dense foods
- Assist with Data Entry as it pertains to Sports Nutrition
- Supporting and co-developing presentations and resources for player education
- (If RD credentialed) Meeting with 5–10 football student-athletes individually to provide nutrition support
- Assisting with student worker management for football-related tasks
- Contributing to team meetings and strategy planning for football fueling and nutrition services
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in sports nutrition and/or foodservice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and maintain professionalism
- Ability to work as part of a team and possess a friendly demeanor
- A strong interest in sports nutrition
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work a non-traditional work week; including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD-eligible strongly preferred
