What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor, Academic Clinician, Heart Failure and Transplantation position at University of Pennsylvania?
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of advanced heart failure including cardiogenic shock, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be ABIM certified and board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases as well as advanced heart failure and transplantation is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents, cardiology and advanced heart failure fellows. The AC track requires a minimum of 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching or equivalent service.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure/transplant service and outpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure, MCS and heart transplant clinics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
