Job Summary
Provides comprehensive care to student-athletes on campus and at game venues. Assists in supervision of all facets of the Athletics Training Program. Coordinates medical procedures and physicals.
Essential Functions
Serve as the primary athletic training link for all Pitt Bradford Athletic Teams and opposing teams. Supervise and coordinate the overall injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, short term and long term rehabilitation, education and counseling, and athletics related health care administration of all student athletes in consultation with and under the supervision of the team physician and other qualified medical personnel.

- Conduct assessments of athletes' injuries, illnesses, and medical histories.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for athletic injuries and conditions.
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and the Head Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive care to athletes.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and proper nutrition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of injuries and treatments.
- Coordinate medical referrals and follow-up care for athletes as needed.
- Conduct pre-participation physical examinations for athletes.
- Manage and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Stay current with advancements in sports medicine and best practices in athletic training.
- Assist with the development and implementation of sports medicine policies and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to student athletic trainers and interns.
- Participate in athletic department meetings and professional development activities.
- Adhere to NCAA regulations and uphold ethical standards in athletic training practices.
