The Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh is inviting applications for the faculty position of Assistant Professor. The faculty member will play a key role in collaborative research programs in the application of cutting-edge imaging technologies in regenerative medicine, strokes, and wound healing at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Data Analytics, Biotechnology, or Microbiology, and experience with clinical data analysis.
5 years of research experience working in an academic research environment.
Must be willing to work with and mentor others.
Must be able to multitask and show interest in contributing to several projects ongoing in the Center.
Additional:
Clinical Data Analytics Experience Preferred.
Electronic Lab Notebook (e.g., LabGuru) experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The qualified scientist will play a major role in a dynamic program in basic and clinical research in both human clinical trials such as prosthetic studies and the application of cutting-edge-imaging technologies in regenerative medicine,
strokes, and wound healing in the context of wound healing at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM). The faculty member will be tasked with a strategic scientific focus on clinical data collected from various projects. The incumbent will be required to partner with interdisciplinary scientists toward translational program building but will not be expected to have regular teaching or service responsibilities external to their research group.
