Essential Functions
This position will be expected to assist with faculty appointments and promotions processing for tenure, nontenure, and affiliated actions. This position will also be expected to interact with deans, department chairs, the Office of the Chancellor, and other high-level constituents.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

- Prepares detailed faculty reports for the Vice Provost; disseminates information among academic units, administrative offices, faculty, external agencies, and other institutions. Benchmarks and collects faculty data and identifies trends within the data.
- Reviews and interprets all faculty action requests and faculty promotion dossiers for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the University bylaws and policies.
- Tracks faculty actions to ensure that all activity is documented and completed within the assigned timeframe. Maintains faculty database and provides analyses of faculty demographics to Vice Provost.
- Serves as a knowledgeable source on policies and procedures related to faculty affairs. Works closely with the director of Faculty Affairs and the Vice Provost notifying them of requests that need special consideration and provides recommendations or guidance for such actions.
