Acts as consultant to managers for personnel related functions. Ensures personnel utilization is carried out in accordance with department, school, and University policies and enforces departmental systems and procedures. Performs administrative functions.

As the Human Resources & Communication Specialist, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the human resources and communication functions of Health Science Information Technology. The candidate must be able to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization, respond to client feedback, and relate to them with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
Essential Functions
The successful candidate will use a computer extensively. They must be capable of oral, written, and electronic communications. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. In addition to a computer, they must be able to use a telephone and other general office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, printers, etc.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
