Through a new online option in its Master of Studies in Law degree and its graduate certificate programs in Corporate Compliance, Health Care Compliance, Human Resources Law, and International Business Law helps professionals in a wide variety of fields gain a deeper understanding of the law related to their specific professional areas.
Administrative Support.The incumbent is the lead administrative person and makes independent decisions concerning priorities; provides administrative support to five faculty program directors; develops processes and procedures to ensure smooth operation for the online programs; assists in the development of program schedules, online director meetings, and agendas; attends bi-monthly Program Directors meetings.
Admissions.The incumbent updates and submits student applications in GradCAS for each admissions cycle; sends applications to Program Directors for review, processing admit/deny letters, processes and verifies the Peoplesoft process related to admissions, matriculation, and deposits; supports Registrar’s office in formulating information needed for Peoplesoft migration in listing courses, dates, instructors;maintains official transcript records for each admitted applicant; maintains data and develops a weekly applications chart to reflect admitted students and deposits; updates spreadsheets of student applications by program; monitors and consults with online faculty regarding student success; maintains distribution lists of enrolled students; generates grade letters for employment reimbursement.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law offers online programs in law for non-lawyer professionals.The School is seeking a full-time, regular staff person for a 4-day on campus, 1 day remote position (that may be reduced to 3 days on campus per week in the future).The start date for this position will be between March 15 and April 15, with a starting salary range between $44,311 and $59,082.
The incumbent of this position performs all administrative and operational functions for these online programs; assists the directors of these programs with daily administrative tasks; provides services directly to students and applicants; develops and implements program policies and procedures; performs budgetary functions; and oversees media communications, newsletters, and marketing tasks.
While the incumbent consults with Program Directors, this individual initiates and executes management tasks with minimal supervision and exercises discretion and independent judgment in significant matters.Most work is expected to be done autonomously.Advanced problem-solving and skills are required.
All qualified candidates should have 2 years of experience in an academic support role.Knowledge of Microsoft, GradCAS, Peoplesoft, Concur, Pittworx, and Cognos preferred.
