What are the responsibilities and job description for the Protein Scientist and Molecular Biologist position at University of Pittsburgh?
The Betegon lab (https://betegonlab.science) at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for two scientists to study the molecular mechanisms of Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) genome packaging. If you are interested in gene therapy, virus biology, protein complexes and in vitro reconstitution of biological systems, apply!
- Protein scientist: The candidate must have a PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology or related field, as well as demonstrated experience with protein expression and FPLC purification, in-vitro protein characterization and functional assays. Experience with in-vitro reconstitution of biological systems is desirable. Previous experience working with AAVs is not required.
To apply, submit an application through Pitt's talent center including your CV and a cover letter: https://cfopitt.taleo.net/careersection/pitt_staff_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=24009275
