- Work closely with division and University colleagues to engage alumni.
- Collaborate with partners such as the Pitt Alumni Association, Alumni Annual Giving, regional campuses, and schools.
- Assist with communications for large-scale campus traditions (e.g., Homecoming, Lantern Night, Pitt Day of Giving).
- Support PAE social media efforts as needed.
- Develop and execute multi-channel communications plans.
- Create content for print, social media, and digital platforms (email, web, text).
- Write and proofread copy; direct design; manage video production and scriptwriting; handle photo management.
- Implement best practices for digital communications.
- Utilize experience in email communications and social media creation.
- Collaborate with a highly collegial and organized approach to meet the needs and deadlines of partners across the University.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability in creative work.
- Applicant must have the ability to research, write, edit and proofread written work.
- Applicant must have the ability to perform heavy computer work including both telephone and video conferencing with one-on-one and group structured meetings.
- Applicant must be available to assist in person with on-campus events and activities in Pittsburgh as needed.
- Strong writing and editing skills, as well as a good understanding of layout for printed, electronic, and social media, printing, and graphic design
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and collaborate with others
- Exceptional project management skills
