POSITION SUMMARY
The University of Providence seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. This position is responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive skill instruction to student-athletes, contributing to their academic progress, and assisting in all facets of team management. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to foster a positive and competitive team environment while adhering to all NAIA, Cascade Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and delivering comprehensive Women’s Soccer skill instruction through both individualized sessions and small group settings.
- Utilizing video review techniques to effectively teach and enhance Women’s Soccer proficiency among students.
- Engaging in hands-on teaching and coaching during practices alongside the head coach.
- Assisting in tracking and supporting the academic progress of student athletes.
- Contributing to the cultivation of leadership qualities and the instillation of core values in student athletes.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of and adherence to NAIA, Cascade Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations.
- Assisting in various aspects of team management including recruiting, scouting, travel logistics, coaching during competitions and practices, and participating in public relations activities.
- Collaborating on team fundraisers and engaging in departmental fundraising initiatives.
- Assisting in the organization and execution of program-specific camps and clinics.
- Actively participating in professional memberships and seeking out opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Serving on department and university committees as needed.
- Integrating additional instructional or administrative duties as assigned, such as planning and conducting recruitment-focused camps both on and off campus.
- Willingness to undertake other tasks as delegated by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE:
- coaching at the intercollegiate level or player experience at the collegiate level preferred
