We are seeking a Compliance Officer who specializes in the Clery Act. This Compliance Officer will serve as a regulatory expert, advisor, trainer, and liaison. The role oversees compliance programs, audits, regulatory reporting, and training to maintain institutional integrity and campus safety. Success requires strong analytical skills, regulatory expertise, and the ability to manage multiple compliance initiatives while upholding campus safety and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Clery Act Compliance & Policy Development
- Ensures full Clery Act compliance, including crime data collection, reporting, and notifications.
- Develops and implements policies to meet federal and institutional regulatory requirements.
- Integrates Clery Act reporting, training, and emergency notification protocols into university operations.
Auditing, Risk Assessment & Reporting
- Conducts audits and risk assessments to ensure accurate crime data reporting and regulatory adherence.
- Leads the Annual Security Report (ASR) submission, ensuring compliance with Clery Act mandates.
- Implements corrective actions to address compliance gaps.
Regulatory Liaison & Complaint Management
- Serves as the primary liaison to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on Clery Act compliance.
- Develops and manages processes for handling compliance-related complaints and violations.
- Enhances institutional policies to prevent regulatory violations.
Training & Institutional Awareness
- Provides Clery Act training to faculty, staff, and campus security teams.
- Advises leadership on compliance strategies and regulatory updates.
- Keeps current with Clery Act, Title IX, and campus safety regulations.
Program & Team Management
- Oversees daily Clery Act compliance operations and campus safety programs.
- Collaborates with law enforcement, student services, and university leadership to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will bring 8 years of experience in Clery Act compliance, campus safety, or regulatory experience. Strong understanding of Clery Act, Title IX, and crime reporting requirements. Communication & leadership skills and ability to engage with regulatory agencies and institutional leadership. Certifications & Education: NACCOP or other Clery Act compliance certifications preferred.

Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
