Job Title: Equipment Technician III – Emergency Department
Location: Strong Memorial Hospital – Emergency Department
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Rotating weekends/holidays required)
Shift differential: Additional compensation for working evening shifts
Position Overview:
Become an essential part of our team at Strong Memorial Hospital as an Equipment Technician III in the Emergency Department. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you’ll manage medical equipment inventory and coordinate repairs to ensure our equipment is always ready for patient care. You’ll need to think quickly, work independently, and stay organized while making a real impact in a critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule repairs, routine maintenance, and safety checks for ED equipment
- Oversee equipment inventory, including ordering, distributing, and tracking supplies
- Collaborate with vendors and the hospital purchasing department to meet equipment needs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and submit items for repair, minimizing disruptions to ED operations
- Engage in quality assurance activities, including equipment audits and ongoing assessments
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of healthcare experience
- Experience with medical equipment and inventory management is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities
