What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fellow, Transfusion Medicine position at University of Rochester Medical Center?
A one year ACGME fellowship in transfusion medicine for physicians is available beginning each of July 2025 and 2026 providing experience in transfusion therapy in all settings, apheresis and cellular/stem cell therapies, hemostasis/thrombosis, supportive care for trauma, critical illness, solid organ and stem cell transplant, stem cell processing, patient blood management, immunohematology, blood donor care, tissue typing, and regional blood center leadership. Candidates with previous backgrounds in all clinical specialties or laboratory medicine are welcome. Night and weekend call compatible with good health and civilized living. Completion will qualify for jobs in transfusion services, regional blood centers, biotech and pharma.
