The Golisano Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking applicants for a board-certified/board eligible pediatric endocrinologist to join our current team. The Division seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position(s) in the non-tenure track. This is primarily a clinical position for outpatient and inpatient consultant services, along with participation in the clinical education of medical students and residents. The Division currently includes three pediatric endocrinologists, five nurse practitioners, one physician assistant, two RNs, an RD and administrative staff, providing more than 3000 patient visits per year.
The Department of Pediatrics is consistently in the top 20 pediatric departments nationwide in NIH-funded research. The Department has strong ongoing programs in basic and translational research and has a long tradition of clinical service, medical student and resident education, and community based advocacy.
Golisano Children’s Hospital employees more than 200 pediatric specialists serving more than 85,000 children and their families each year. It serves as a referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region and beyond. The current 124 bed Children’s Hospital opened in 2015 and includes a 68-bed NICU, a 22-bed PICU, and 16 bed Cardiothoracic ICU in addition to regular inpatient units. Qualifications
- Expertise in Pediatric Endocrinology and Endocrinology
- Experience in managing diabetes and related endocrine disorders
- Strong diagnostic and treatment skills in pediatric endocrine conditions
- Board certification in Pediatric Endocrinology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
