Company Description
Dr. Sheftall’s lab is dedicated to understanding the vulnerabilities associated with youth suicidal behaviors. The research coordinator position will help Dr. Sheftall recruit families and run research appointments to gather data that will help us better understand the mechanisms associated with suicidal behaviors in children and adolescents. The coordinator will also have an opportunity to examine the data more thoroughly and, if willing, present the data for poster presentations and/or help write manuscripts for publication with Dr. Sheftall.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Coordinator at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating project REACH, collecting and analyzing data, conducting research visits, assist in human subject recruitment and screening activities, and more. They will work closely with other researchers and study participants to ensure the smooth execution of research activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- No previous experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., an associate’s degree and completion of 6 months in the Human Subject Research Coordinator Trainee program) required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and on some weekends required.
- Word processing and data analysis software preferred.
- Have access to and/or personal transportation preferred.
- CITI certification preferred.
