$24.91 - $34.87The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:The Business Administrator II plans, establishes and implements administrative, financial and budgetary workflows for all reporting units to the Office for Global Engagement: Global Engagement Office, The Center for Education Abroad, and the International Services Office. With minimal direction and wide latitude for independent judgment, the Business Administrator II plans, organizes and coordinates business operations in accordance with strategic goals within the organization, providing support for senior management in financial and budget management. Supports special projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plans and supports the Center for Education Abroad, the Office for Global Engagement, and the International Services Office budgets and financial management of all programs (student programs, faculty-led programs, endowments, and incoming exchange students) to monitor revenues and expenses for periodic reports and projections.
- Tracks all expenses related to Third Party Programs, Exchanges and faculty-led programs. Manages and tracks endowment, gifts and operating account spending of the Center
- Provides day-to-day financial and budgetary operations and workflow at the administrative level.
- Provides monthly reports to the Vice Provost and Directors of each unit and assists in the reconciliation of P-Cards.
- Creates, audits, and maintains departmental documents including departmental policies and procedures. May support entering time for payroll submission and form submissions/approvals in support of time and labor needs.
- Plans, implements, and supports finance functions at the department level by creating workflows and standard operating procedures. Conducts monthly reconciliations and provides analyses to ensure compliance with UR documentation requirements. Liaises with the Budget Office to manage department-wide budgets and adjust spend categories as needed.
- Plans, implements and supports human resources functional needs including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, etc. in concert with Human Resources Business Partner(s). Supports all Global Engagement hiring managers by providing access to hiring resources and best practices. Creates and manages the UR Workday approval processes and workflows, partners with the HR Business Partner to determine equitable rates of pay, and requests for permission to make an offer.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3 years professional experience in client services, administrative, or other higher education role required.
- or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and management of multiple tasks required.
- Ability to use systems and database programs required.
