We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Clery Act Compliance Officer to lead university-wide compliance with the Clery Act and related federal regulations. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in Public Safety, HR, Legal, or Compliance within higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Clery Act requirements, including accurate crime data collection, annual reporting, and timely notifications of incidents to the University community.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain crime reporting accuracy and address compliance gaps.
- Serve as the primary liaison with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on Clery Act compliance.
- Provide training to faculty, staff, and campus security personnel on Clery Act and campus safety standards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, student services, and university leadership to support campus safety efforts.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in Clery Act reporting, campus safety, or regulatory compliance in a higher education setting.
- Deep knowledge of the Clery Act, Title IX, and campus crime reporting regulations.
- Proven ability to navigate complex compliance environments and engage with institutional and regulatory stakeholders.
