Acts as a liaison between Imaging Sciences clinical, technical and clerical staff to perform reconciliations of patient's electronic medical records/imaging specific data, digital data and billing data as necessary from multiple medical departments. Ensures all current digital images are accessible and contain accurate patient information for Physicians and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

Ensures all current digital images are accessible and contain accurate patient information for Physicians and clinical staff.
Essential Functions
- Monitors all imaging applications, ensuring all studies and previous comparison images are sent correctly from Radiology, Cardiology, and OBGYN departments. Resolves exceptions of studies sent under a cancelled accession number, no accession number, wrong medical record number, no medical record number, etc. Contacts appropriate area if an order for the Imaging study is needed. Receives calls and pages from clinical staff who identified mistakes or errors in the patient’s image study. Refers or consults complex cases. Documents all work in ServiceNow for reporting and quality assurance.
- Validates orders, exam codes, and patient demographics are correct for necessary studies, correcting as applicable. Identifies and resolves issues using knowledge of system and clinical operations. Communicates with Health Information Management personnel to obtain accurate patient information.
- Answers all phone calls, emails, and pages for information requests from imaging sciences staff to facilitate or assist with the clinical operation as it relates to data integrity.
- Reports any identified issues to IT personnel. Performs periodic quality assurance duties related to routine maintenance of PACS.
- Assists with new workflows or added hospitals due to affiliations or other contracts where Data Reconciliation services will be required.
- Performs administrative functions, including change control and maintains system documentation. Stays abreast of current and new trends by completing training as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Associate's degree and 1 year of related experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience in multiple imaging informatics areas, including PACS (picture archiving and communication system), or CVIS (cardiovascular information system), or Radiation Oncology Systems, Electronic Medical Record integration preferred
- Knowledge with Phillips PACS Archive / eView (image viewing application), PowerShare (Cloud product for outside studies), Phillips TraceMasterVue (ECG management application), and/or GE Viewpoint (Ultrasound application) preferred
