Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
In an outpatient setting, supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership
FT position available, primarily days
Exciting leadership opportunity to collaborate with the Nurse Manager for the management and clinical oversight of busy Dermatology Practice at multiple locations. Responsibilities include oversight of daily clinic activities, staff scheduling, assisting in facilitation of care to patients, as well as providing clinical care. Integral to the role will be the ability to organize the work environment, establish and monitor standards of practice, ability to interpret policy and model customer service excellence. Will work together with onsite manager to resolve issues and achieve departmental goal of improving throughput and increased access for patients. Must be motivated, creative and have excellent communication skills. Requires NYS license, Requires a Bachelor’s degree. Ambulatory Care experience preferred; three years nursing experience required.
