Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Train for a career in pharmacy while assisting with medication management, inventory, and customer service. Gain hands-on experience while preparing for the PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with medication storage, inventory management, and stock rotation.
- Provide customer service, triage calls, and support pharmacy operations.
- Complete required training, coursework, and experiential rotations to prepare for certification.
- Participate in medication preparation, packaging, and delivery using pharmacy systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all policies and procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Healthcare or fast-paced work experience preferred.
- Certification: Enrolled in URMC ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or obtain PTCB certification within 180 days.
