Compensation Range : 33.75 - $50.62
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries / hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities : GENERAL PURPOSE :
Applies advanced knowledge and skills to plan, design, create schematics and drawings, install, support, troubleshoot, and repair audiovisual (AV) systems and other equipment in technology-enhanced facilities for learning, classrooms, healthcare environments, performance venues and other public presentation spaces. Leads lower-level staff to bring projects from concept to completion. Ensures day-to-day operations and services run smoothly and maintains a consistent technology experience for all customers. Responds to support tickets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with coordination of projects. Assists with site surveys and needs analyses. Develops and manages schedules. Assists with system design and layout. Disseminates information, as needed, to coordinate work and resources. Identifies, tracks, and manages risk. Prepares estimates, quotes, invoices and / or bills departments for labor and materials used during projects. Executes billing according to finance team standards. Creates and maintains archival systems. Creates system schematics. Assists with order approval, submittal, tracking, and receiving. Tracks, stores, and moves equipment. Conducts system pre-build and programming activities. Trains end users as required. Creates user guides. Leads lower-level staff to ensure team runs smoothly. 25%
- Designs and programs Audio Video systems. Creates system designs and control systems. Specifies devices and wiring to meet system needs. Programs Local Area Network architecture. Custom tunes audio systems. Leverages programming knowledge to ensure systems operate as expected and technology lifespan is preserved. Creates workflows, user guides, and strategies for system operation. 25%
- Leads the installation of Audio Video systems. Creates actionable plans for technology installation. Collaborates with other departments to ensure project needs are met. Creates and references design documentation. Directs team members in the use of hand and power tools as needed. Mounts equipment and systems, designs and installs equipment infrastructure. Commissions AV systems by configuring, fine tuning, debugging, testing, and performing updates as needed. Utilizes past experience and training to maintain high quality of work. 25%
- Performs maintenance activities. Provides ongoing user and system support. Updates and / or debugs device software / firmware as needed. Works to reduce system downtime and trouble calls. 10%
- May supervise a staff of less than 3, including timekeeping, performance review, hiring / termination, and discipline. 5%
