The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Director of Safety and Security. Saint Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition. The Director of Safety and Security will report to Vice President for Catholic Culture and Student Life and Dean of Students and will have responsibility over Safety and Security, ensuring the university’s Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and commitment to the liberal arts remain at the center of our educational mission and public identity. The Director of Safety and Security is responsible for assisting the Vice President for Catholic Culture and Student Life and Dean of Students in advancing the university’s efforts in implementing the new mission statement and strategic plan. The successful candidate will be overseeing campus security operations, emergency response management, and safety compliance. This role involves coordinating training, maintaining security systems, managing the department’s budget, and ensuring a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors through proactive safety measures and collaboration with local emergency services.
