Position Description
The University of Saint Joseph invites applications for a Full-time / Non-Tenure Track faculty position (9-month) in the Department of Nursing. The successful candidate will be a certified nurse practitioner and have demonstrated clinical expertise and some experience in teaching and scholarship.
The ideal candidate will use evidence-based best practices in support of the education of future nurses and graduate students. The candidate will contribute to the curriculum and employ classroom, clinical, and online teaching for undergraduate and graduate students.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Earned master’s degree in nursing is required
- Earned doctoral degree in nursing (PhD, EdD or DNP) is preferred
- Licensed or eligible for license by the state of Connecticut as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing in the role of nurse practitioner
- Minimum of two years of teaching in academic nursing programs is preferred with experience in curriculum development
- Commitment to the mission and values of the University and to the highest standards of the profession of Nursing
- Developing or continuing an active program of scholarship preferred
