Job Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our faculty as a 12-month, tenure or non-tenure-track, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust commitment to teaching, research, and service, and will be expected to provide clinical pharmacy services in an acute care setting. We look forward to welcoming a dedicated pharmacy educator whose teaching philosophy aligns with the department's mission to promote excellence in pharmacy education and practice and contribute significantly to our academic community.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Development and delivery of high-quality didactic and experiential pharmacy courses
- Engagement in scholarly research activities, publications, and presentations
- Mentorship and advisement to pharmacy students
- Participation in departmental and university service activities
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance pharmacy education and practice
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from an accredited institution
- Licensure/eligibility for licensure, in the State of Connecticut
- Completion of a residency program (PGY1 and/or PGY2) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in a pharmacy specialty
- Prior teaching experience in an academic setting
- Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning
