Department Nursing Job Purpose

The University of Scranton Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track Faculty Specialist position in the area of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing starting in August 2025. This is an in-person, on site position; regular on-campus presence is required. There are opportunities to teach in the undergraduate, graduate, and DNP programs; teaching and service are required. The Department of Nursing is strongly committed to excellence; the Department’s graduates are recognized for being ready to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, holistic, person-centered care at all levels and across many settings.

Additional Skills Required

Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Minimum Education Requirements

A master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing is required.

Applicants must have 3-5 years of recent professional nursing practice experience in area(s) of teaching responsibilities.
