Responsibilities
USA Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital CEO to oversee the efficient operation and strategic development of our healthcare facility in southwest Alabama. As the CEO, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hospitals daily operations, ensuring high-quality/safe patient care, and fostering a positive work environment for staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, physician relations experience, community involvement, financial acumen, and a commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes in a rural community.
1. Strategic Planning: Develops and implements, in collaboration with the hospitals board of directors, strategic plans to meet the healthcare needs of the local community, considering factors such as population demographics, healthcare trends, access to care issues, and regulatory requirements.
2. Financial Management: Oversees the budgeting, financial reporting, expense management, and revenue cycle management to ensure the hospital operates efficiently and remains financially sustainable.
3. Personnel Management: Ensures that the recruitment, training, and leadership development of the hospital staff provides appropriate competency for care delivery, fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment, and promotes employee engagement and professional growth.
4. Quality Assurance: Monitors and evaluates the quality of patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and patient satisfaction. Ensure the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experiences.
5. Community Outreach: Establishes and maintains positive relationships with community stakeholders, including local government officials, community organizations, healthcare providers, vendors, and other rural hospitals. Collaborate with community partners to address healthcare disparities and work to improve access to healthcare services.
6. Technology and Infrastructure: Oversees the implementation and maintenance of healthcare technology systems, medical equipment, and facility infrastructure to support the delivery of high-quality care.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare operations, including licensure and accreditation.
8. Emergency Preparedness: Develops and maintains emergency preparedness plans to ensure the hospital is equipped to respond effectively to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other crisis situations.
9. Public Relations: Serves as the primary spokesperson for the hospital, communicating with the media, public, and other stakeholders to promote the hospitals mission, services, and accomplishments.
10. Creative Resourcing: Serves as the subject matter expert for determining economies of scale, partnerships, and collaborations with other healthcare providers and vendors who can provide efficiencies in the provision of services at the rural hospital.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a masters degree in healthcare administration or related field and five years progressive experience in healthcare management in a hospital setting. Rural hospital experience preferred.Commitment to serving rural communities and improving healthcare access.
