These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Evaluates federal financial aid applications for accuracy, compliance, and eligibility utilizing Banner and Student Forms software.
- Verifies FAFSA applicant data and makes necessary corrections with the Department of Education.
- Assists in professional judgement cases.
- Reviews subsequent ISIR transactions for conflicting information that is required to be resolved.
- Assists in determining federal aid eligibility for applicants.
- Assists in calculating satisfactory academic progress for federal aid applicants.
- Reviews federal aid recipients for potential overawards and adjusts aid when necessary.
- Counsels and advises students and families regarding the application process for federal aid.
- Utilizes various Department of Education systems in determining eligibility for federal aid.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
