What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Life Coordinator position at University of South Carolina Lancaster?
The Student Life Coordinator assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of programs and activities for students that are culturally, educationally, and socially enriching. Under the guidance of the Director of Student Life, this position manages projects, collaborates with campus and community stakeholders, and introduces programming that enhances the college experience for all students.
Tasks include day-to-day office operations, maintaining a student activity calendar, promoting events through social media and a monthly newsletter, assisting with the USCL mascot, monitoring and encouraging student's progression through their First Year Experience, assisting student clubs and organizations, involvement with implementing orientation, serving on committees, and other duties as assigned.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a job-related field and two (2) or more years of job-related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
