The Administrative Assistant for this grant-funded program will track internship information and placements; assist with collecting evaluation data; process payments to students and faculty; assist with events such as workshops and orientation sessions; and maintain program website and social media.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma and 4 years equivalent experience. Successful background check is required. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a humanities field of study and 1- 2 years administrative work experience.

Provides administrative support to the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Humanities Internship Program. The Administrative Assistant for this grant-funded program will track internship information and placements; assist with collecting evaluation data; process payments to students and faculty; assist with events such as workshops and orientation sessions; and maintain program website and social media.
- Assists Humanities Internship Coordinator with administrative duties, including scheduling meetings with internal and external constituents; responding to inquiries about the program from students, faculty and external partners; and managing the calendar for the program.
- Creates, maintains, and manages system for collecting and processing internship applications. In collaboration with Humanities Internship Coordinator, creates and maintains system for tracking student internship placements. Assists Humanities Internship Coordinator and Humanities Internship Evaluator with evaluation data collection. Processes student internship stipends. Processes faculty stipends.
- Collaborates with Humanities Internship Coordinator to plan and execute workshops and programs. Tasks include reserving campus space using the 25Live system; catering orders; securing workshop materials; notifying student interns and faculty of events; assisting with set up at events. May attend events to check attendees in, and to ensure smooth execution of program.
- Collaborates with Humanities Internship Coordinator and with Grants Administrator to manage project budget. Keeps detailed and accurate records of project expenditures. Creates and maintains ledgers and spreadsheets to track expenses.
- Assists Humanities Internship Coordinator with internal and external public facing including communicating with various stakeholders, updating program web page and developing and maintaining social media presence on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
