Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Student Services, Education, Human Resources, Counseling or related field and 1 year related experience. May graduates will be considered if they will be able to obtain their degree by the date of employment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Skills in career counseling, psychometric assessment, program planning, public relations, and group presentations are necessary to perform the required duties. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Provide counseling/coaching and advising through a variety of formats including drop-in interactions, individual appointments, and presentations/workshops to:
Manage career services for assigned academic college/school liaison role which could include one or more of the following: the College of Hospitality, Retail & Sport Management, the SC Honors College, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Social Work, the College of Nursing, the Arnold School of Public Health, the College of Engineering & Computing, the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Music, the College of Information and Communication, the College of Education, first-year students in the Moore School of Business, and Alumni.
Manage career services with assigned special populations which could include one or more of the following: residence halls, students with disabilities, athletes, veterans, international students, and under-represented students.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty
Coordinate the promotion, implementation and evaluation of university-recognized internship programs. Communicate and enforce program policies and procedures to students and employers. Anticipate and address issues related to data security, ethics and risk management.
Manage specific projects as assigned (could include University Summer Orientation, the Career Champions Program, Scheduling for Career Center Presentations, University 101 Class Scheduling, Mock Interview Program and Teaching for-credit career course, etc.) Support Career Studio Peer Educators including training and professional development.

Represent the career development and experiential education areas through the opportunity to serve on one or more cross functional Career Center work teams and Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support committees and events as needed.

- Implement the student and employer enrollment processes (contracts) for interns for assigned liaison area(s) with the opportunity to administer funding where special funds are available.
- Conduct semester site visit in person, phone, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom consultations with internship and co-op program students and employer supervisors.
- Conduct pre- and post- assessments with students and employers to evaluate achievement of outcomes and overall program success. Share assessment results and collaborate with colleagues to make program improvements.
