Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life Housing at the University of South Carolina. The Assistant Director's job duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervising multiple property managers who serve as live-in staff in the Greek Village. Conduct one-on-one meetings and expectations with staff to develop and review goals and outcomes, address concerns, recognize contributions, and build meaningful relationships. Maintain regular communication with House Corporations. Support recruitment and hiring process for property manager positions.
- Support general maintenance, fire safety, and common grounds for Greek Village. Build relationships and communicate regularly with vendors and university offices. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create a positive living experience for students.
- Work alongside the Associate Director of FSL Housing to develop an ongoing training curriculum for all full-time property managers that focuses on personal and professional development, facility maintenance, and crisis response. Collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for students and staff.
Housing:
- This role serves in an on-call rotation for the university and as one of the supervisors to the full-time property managers who reside in the 20 Greek Village Facilities.
- As a part of this role, a one-bed/one-bath apartment in a duplex that is owned and managed by our office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in student housing or residential life
- Knowledge of fraternity and sorority life
- Understanding of facility operations and maintenance
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
