Assistant or Associate Professor of Teacher Education
The School of Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken) invites applications for a 9-month, Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Teacher Education. The preferred candidate will have a background in ECE/Elementary Literacy and one or more of the following: Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, Multicultural Education, ESOL, Science, Math, or Educational Foundations. Expected start date August 16, 2025. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; supervision of teacher candidates; academic advisement; ongoing university and community service; pursuit of grant opportunities; and sustained scholarly activity. Main responsibilities will be on the Aiken campus with potential for teaching via distance or on-line. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Requirements: Doctoral degree in education; PK-12 teaching experience; demonstrated effective teaching with diverse populations. ABD will be considered with degree conferred by August 16, 2025. Experience teaching online is desirable. The School of Education is involved in exciting initiatives including Teaching Fellows, Call Me MiSTER, USCA LIFE, a fully online SpEd – Multicategorical degree, and professional partnerships with our local school districts.
