The Coordinator for Service, within the Leadership and Service Center (LSC), is responsible for assisting with envisioning, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services that provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, with an emphasis on service programs and community partner initiatives. This includes supporting the development of translational skills that broadly help student leaders prepare for a successful shift to the world of work within their chosen career after graduation.

- Develop and assist with efforts to recognize and appreciate volunteer and community partners

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development and leadership and the understanding of community and civic engagement principles. Ability to interact with internal constituents and community partners on a regular basis. Skilled in planning and executing special events and one-time programs. Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures as it applies to program coordination. Ability to coordinate multiple high-level events simultaneously. Ability to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
