The Geospatial Analyst will be instrumental in developing and optimizing the university’s geospatial infrastructure, enhancing data-driven decision-making across operational and academic initiatives. This role involves designing intuitive Web GIS applications, streamlining mobile data collection, and enabling spatial intelligence solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability on campus.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

- Masters in GIS, Geography, Engineering or related field
- Python or SQL skills for GIS automation
- CAD
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprise IT systems (APIs, databases)
- Experience with spatial analysis for decision-making
Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, mobile data collection, and geo-enabled app development (e.g., ArcGIS Dashboards, StoryMaps, etc.).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Analytical Skills: Strong geospatial analysis skills, including spatial data visualization, geoprocessing, and spatial modeling.
Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, providing technical support, and delivering GIS solutions to meet diverse departmental needs.

- Design, develop, and maintain Web GIS applications using platforms such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related tools to meet the university’s operational and research needs.
- Create geo-enabled apps (e.g., dashboards, mobile apps, StoryMaps) that provide real-time geospatial data for decision-making across departments such as Facilities Services, Campus Planning, and Public Safety.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom web GIS solutions that integrate with other university systems and platforms.
