Advertised Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Department within the Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for a full-time Marketing Content Specialist. This position reports to the associate director for content and media relations. The primary duties include creating content for Darla Moore School graduate programs, including feature stories, smart brevity pieces, marketing copy, website copy and communications content for graduate programs’ prospective and accepted students.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience writing in Associated Press Style.
- Experience with web content management systems such as Wordpress.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, compelling marketing and communications copy for multiple mediums including but not limited to publications, e-newsletters, websites, social media, digital advertising campaigns and print marketing materials such as brochures.
- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to proofread and edit copy.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research and interviews.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to successfully work within the department’s online project management system.
- Strong Internet usage skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be an energetic individual with strong work ethic who takes initiative.
