Provides a broad range of counseling and psychological services to students including intake evaluation and assessment, treatment planning and treatment provision within the modalities of individual, couples and group psychotherapy. Provides crisis intervention and management. Provides psychological consultation to families, faculty and staff and other Student Health Services staff. Provides training and clinical supervision to Counseling & Psychiatry department trainees as assigned. Provides community- based services as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the director. Practices in accordance with the ethics promulgated by the American Psychological Association, state law and licensing regulations and departmental guidelines and policies.

- Provides consultation to faculty, staff, and university departments on student mental health concerns.
- Develops and/or facilitates psychoeducational workshops, presentations, and outreach programs tailored to the needs of the campus community.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program, including internship completed at an APA accredited doctoral internship program, all of which are completed by start date. One year experience in a college/university counseling center setting, either as a practicum sequence or on doctoral internship. Able to work effectively within an integrated health & mental health work team environment.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Licensed or license eligible in the state of South Carolina

Demonstrated ability to engage in critical thinking, maintain confidentiality. Functions as a self-starter, to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Highly organized. Demonstrates strong generalist competencies across a broad range of presenting concerns, including but not limited to: mood disorders, adjustment disorders, eating concerns, substance abuse concerns, trauma, sexual assault, sexual orientation/identity concerns, and various developmental concerns of college students. Demonstrated skills in individual, couples and especially in group psychotherapy. Commitment to the goal of the evidenced based practice of psychology. Skilled in supervising trainees. Works effectively in collaborative partnership as part of an interdependent team of professionals representing a broad range of professional and personal backgrounds within a large university counseling service that is fully integrated within the Student Health Services. Familiarity with Point & Click or similar electronic health record system. Ability to work effectively with a broadly diverse student population and effectively manage a large and clinically diverse caseload within the context of a busy college counseling center.
