The Residence Hall Association Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the residence hall association program by supervising the residence hall association; coordinating programs that foster personal wellness and community development among student residents.

- Serve on IMPACT training committee to contribute to the training for resident assistants and residence hall association

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Masters degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling or related field.

Create and implement inclusive, supportive communities that foster community, relationships and long-lasting friendships. Lead with Care and find ways to make a positive difference in the lives of our students, staff and guests. Provide leadership and direction for residence hall association staff in related program development through attending events, coaching RHA to get to know residents, and in getting to know all residents in the community. Cater to student needs and program based on the needs, wants, and ideas of our residents. Contribute to the success of the neighborhood hall government and student groups in the residence hall(s) to develop and maintain effective community governance and to foster leadership opportunities for the greatest number of students. Contribute to the effectiveness of the Residence Hall Association (RHA). Be visible in the community talking informally with residents about their adjustment to USC, how classes are going, and how we can support their developing involvement with USC. Serve on the professional staff duty rotation. Liaison with other Student Affairs and Academic Support services and individuals.

Supervision:
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and evaluation process for Residence Hall Association to meet the needs of each community. Facilitate and participate in departmental training programs and provide for the on-going training of RHA through planned departmental and in-house staff activities and through daily supervision and advisement. Supervise RHA in the performance of their responsibilities through regular individual contact, through conducting weekly senate and executive board meetings.

Committee work/Assessment:
Serve on IMPACT training committee to contribute to the training for resident assistants and residence hall association. Residence Hall Association coordinator is responsible for the RHA training schedule during the August training period and throughout the academic year.
RHA Coordinator will assist the Director of Assessment with housing related assessment projects and will facilitate pop up assessment opportunities in the halls to engage students and understand the pulse of the residential population.

Oversee the management and ordering of supplies for the residence hall resource rooms. Serve as residence life point of contact for Garnet Gate.
