Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Provide or oversee transportation services for the University. Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and other transportation mediums. Uphold regulations for all vehicles and drivers. Regularly engage as the University’s point of contact with vendors and contractors supplying transportation to campus community.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred. Proven experience of five (5) or more years in transportation management, preferably in a higher education setting or large organization. Knowledge of regulatory transportation controls and safety standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, management and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage budgets, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with fleet management systems, scheduling software, GPS tracking, and other transportation technologies. Ability to collaborate effectively with campus departments, student organizations, community stakeholders, and external vendors.
