Advertised Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Work Control Coordinator’s primary role is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles. The position is also responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work performed by the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Department as well as continuous management/support of auxiliary service shops within Facilities.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Driver’s License required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) plus years of maintenance planning experience in higher education maintenance planning or an associate degree and 6 years related professional experience. Experience with AIM Management Software
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of construction and maintenance trades; and project management principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated capability to influence stakeholders and drive results through others.
Intermediate or better skills in Microsoft Office required.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive and self-directed.
Must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Knowledgeable in Operating Maintenance Management Systems (MMS)
Requires knowledge of building and safety codes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Managing mitigations vendor services due to losses. Provides specific details for the purpose of planning and coordinating future mitigation applications. Coordinates restoration projects by being on site throughout restoration and provides real time reports of any violations to Work Management Coordinator. Ensures established HAZMAT and Safety procedures are adhered to throughout the mitigation and restoration process.

Complete specialty projects as assigned. Provides site supervision for all Work Management projects. Projects can include but are not limited to: installation of ADA compliant doors, operators, panic devices, controllers, ramps, etcetera. Inspects sidewalks and pathways for irregularities and or tripping hazards develops a priority list for repairs. Access control (Carolina Card), and site security/safety. Provides project support to Event Coordinator for campus special events.

Is fully versed in Carolina Card software (CS Gold) for the purpose of supporting Facilities Services personnel access to E&G buildings. Oversees procurement and manages Carolina Card upgrades/installations conducted by Facilities Locksmith crew.

Audits can include items that are designed for the purposes of making the campus green, energy efficiency.
