Budget and Financial Services Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting the AVP and Director of Budget in forecasting and managing rolling financials across multiple departments.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for financial forecasting and analysis within Financial Affairs, overseeing the development and execution of budget requests and operating budget processes.
They will also direct the preparation of financial statements for complex business entities within the University of South Dakota, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
This role will actively contribute to central budget office functions, including year-end processes, salary policy analysis, and related tasks.
The ideal candidate will hold responsibility for reviewing and approving departmental budget and financial information before final approval by the Director of Budget and Finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field is required.
- Experience with BOR, USD, or other higher education institutions budgeting processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of fund accounting is preferred.
