Budgeting and Fiscal Management Professional
The University of South Dakota is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services and Planning Expert, who will play a vital role in supporting the university departments through strategic decision making. This position will serve as a key partner to the departments, providing expert guidance on financial forecasting, analysis, and budget planning.
This Financial Services and Planning Expert will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of budget requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity across all departments. Additionally, this role will direct the preparation of financial statements for complex business entities within the university, guaranteeing compliance with relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. Experience with higher education institutions' budgeting processes, particularly those related to BOR and USD, is preferred. Knowledge of fund accounting is also advantageous.
