University Financial Services Officer
The University of South Dakota seeks an experienced University Financial Services Officer to provide expert financial guidance and support to university departments. This role works closely with the Director of Budget to develop and implement financial strategies, ensuring effective budget management and financial sustainability.
This position oversees the creation and implementation of budget requests and operating budget processes, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives. It also directs the preparation of financial statements for complex business entities, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to central budget office functions, including year-end processes, salary policy analysis, and reviewing/approving departmental budget and financial information.
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is necessary, along with experience in budgeting processes within higher education institutions and knowledge of fund accounting.
