Job Description
A clinically competent, registered professional nurse who utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care to patients.
Essential Job Functions and Core Responsibilities
- Accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director of the department.
- Adherence to identified nursing standards of practice.
- Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers.
- IV competency in IV therapy.
- Responsible for the planning, directing, implementation, and evaluation of each patient.
- Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in nursing or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Work Experience: One-year acute care experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current RN licensure in the State of California and BLS certification required.
