Position Details
Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa has an opening for a full time Staff Assistant I. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support for faculty and the department chair in the department of Information & Technology Management (ITM) and for the Director of Cybersecurity. The staff position will be located on the 5th floor of the Technology Building on the University campus.
Responsibilities
1. Serve as a receptionist and perform general office duties, such as answering office phones, copying, faxing, printing, and directing visitor traffic in the ITM and Cybersecurity area.
2. Assist with day-to-day administrative operations to support ITM department chair and faculty.
3. Provide administrative support for the Security Operations Center and Director of Cybersecurity programs.
4. Assist with ITM department accreditation activities and maintain archives of assessment and accreditation documents and data.
5. Coordinate pick up and delivery of faculty mail.
6. Monitor office and copier supplies and coordinate refills as needed.
7. Assist with ITM and Cybersecurity faculty and student events.
8. Performs other duties as they arise, including assisting other faculty and staff in this area when they may not be available.
9. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications.
1. High school diploma required, two years of college is preferred.
2. Prior administrative office experience preferred
3. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and customer service skills required
4. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and manage time wisely
5. Proficiency in MS-Office and Adobe Creative suite

$18.47 per hour
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer – Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required
