What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at University of Tennessee Medical Center?
Position Summary:
Position is located inside of the flag circle entrance, at the large Labor and Delivery desk in the main lobby area. Resposibilities include welcoming expectant mothers and any support people and taking them to their appropriate area such as OB triage, Labor and Delivery or OB PAT office. Receptionists work in conjunction with the Labor and Delivery team, the PAT nurses and other various OB physician offices as well as other departments within the hospital. They are responsible for delivering the mail to all hospital units as well as providing back-up coverage to the Covid screening station located inside flag circle. When called upon, they must be available to urgently tranport laboring mothers to the floor and get them settled into their room. As the face of the lobby, the expecation is that they greet team members and visitors and assist with giving directions when needed in conjuction with the screening stations and hospital volunteers.
Position Qualification:
Minimum of high school diploma is required. Must be friendly, detail orientated and a self-starter who is able to stay on task during periods of no supervision. Must be a team player who is able to work in conjuntion with several different areas of the hospital. Must be punctual and have good attendance.
