The Associate Director position in the University of Tennessee Psychological Clinic is a 12-month appointment to a non-tenure-track position in the Department of Psychology. This position is scheduled to begin August 1, 2025, but start date is flexible.
The applicant must have a PhD (or equivalent) from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology, completed an APA-accredited clinical internship, and be licensed or license-eligible (within one year of hire) at the independent doctoral level in Tennessee as a Psychologist with no history of disciplinary action.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills in their capacity assisting the director with administrative and outreach activities. Responsibilities include supervising graduate clinical and counseling psychology students in a wide range of assessment and psychotherapy activities throughout the year. Applicants who are proficient in third wave psychotherapies are particularly desirable. Responsibilities also include teaching of core courses in the clinical and counseling psychology programs. Opportunities exist (but are not required) to begin clinical research programs and obtain external funding for research and / or training grants.
